Apr 29 2015 - A Message from Maria Schneider on Toots' Birthday

I'm excited to announce that I've just uploaded "Lembra de Mim" to The Thompson Fields project. Current participants in the project can download it now from their accounts immediately. If you have not yet participated you can go here for more details.

This was recorded in August. I then sent the sound files to Ivan Lins to record his vocals in his home studio in Brazil. A week later I flew to Belgium, and recorded Toots in his home. April 29th is Toots' 93rd birthday. This is my celebration for him, and my gift to all of you in celebration of the great musician who has given us all so many years of unabashed beauty. I hope you'll enjoy it.
