The inspiration for Parallels has been in the making for decades, however, it only recently defined itself. A long-forgotten trove of paintings by David's father, Jack Rickard were discovered in a closet more than 20 years after his death.
Jack was an artist/illustrator adored by millions for his instantly recognizable style, which today falls into the category of "iconic", as represented on the covers of Mad Magazine. The paintings however were a labor of love. With just one look, one can recognize that instantly.
David is a successful composer for TV/Film and as often as he can composes and performs with his Big Band. Just like his father, this music is a true labor of love. Just one listen and this is apparent as well.
We are very excited to present to you the Parallels project which will celebrate the artistic work of a very unique and very talented father and son.
