Dec 07 2015 - ArtistShare fan-funded Recordings Receive 3 Grammy nominations for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards

ArtistShare artists Maria Schneider and The Gil Evans Project have been nominated for the 58th Grammy Awards.

We are proud to announce that The Thompson Fields has been nominated for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. Donny McCaslin's tenor solo on "Arbiters of Evolution" was nominated for Best Improvised Solo, and Maria was also nominated for Best Arrangement Accompanying a Vocal for "Sue: Or in a Season of Crime" recorded by her orchestra for rock icon, David Bowie.

The Gil Evans Project has been nominated for its BlueNote/ArtistShare release, Lines of Color, in the Large Ensemble Album category. This is the first Grammy nomination for the BlueNote/ArtistShare partner label, a milestone for the first major label to collaborate with a crowdfunding platform.

"We began the BlueNote/ArtistShare partnership in 2013. I'm not only thrilled that we've reached this milestone, I'm proud that the incredible music from Lines of Color is receiving the recognition it deserves." - Brian Camelio
