About this project

Welcome to Radhika Philip's Being Here! In this new book project Radhika will talk to extraordinary New York City musicians about the creative process. She will ask them about their values and practices, about composing, improvising, and bandleading, and about the relationship between art and the audience.

The interviews will be compiled in a two volume publication, Being Here (Volumes 1 and 2). The books promise to be an invaluable resource, both instructive and inspirational, for anyone interested in human creativity, and they will tell a story of an artistic people at this time and place. As a project participant you will closely observe the development of the project, and play a major role in bringing it to life.
