About this project

Welcome to my Holiday on Fire project. This project marks 10 amazing years of music making on ArtistShare, and it’s the 5th CD. Holiday on Fire is a new level of compositional intricacy in a set of tunes created for these specific musicians within a 6 month period. The players I got together to do this recording are absolute top players in the world and are wonderfully interactive, intense, collaborative and amazing sweet people. The trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, the drummer Johnathan Blake, the bassist Drew Gress and the pianist Maggi Olin, and myself Torben Waldorff on guitar. We premiered the music 2 days prior at the legendary Small Jazz Club in NYC, and the set has a very live and organic feel.
