You will also receive the project experience from Joel Miller's current "Tantramar" project and be able hear the stories that inspired his works. You will gain insight into the process of producing my music. Participating in this project will take you on a journey through Joel's World with video of my live performances and rehearsals, photo galleries, sketches and journals.

"In 1997 my group performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival (myself, Kevin Coady, Joe Sullivan, Tilden Webb, Brian Hurley) and won the Du Maurier Grand Jazz Award. We received money and studio time at Karisma studio in Montreal. Around the time of the recording I was writing for strings. I brought violinist Perter Purich and Francis Undsworth into the studio to record Stoner, Dorado and Through Winter Together. I also had my friend Cordell Henebury come in and lay down some 12 string guitar on Stoner but one of the strings broke. I really used this studio time as a chance to experiment. The mixing didn't go so well though. I ended up using some takes (Blues Trick and Cobra) from another Jazz Beat session I did the year before."
