About This Offer The Big Time is a short (about 4 minutes) but powerful piece from a pivotal period in Bob’s life. Originally written in the early 1980s for Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, it went un-recorded (and un-played) for many years. We are thrilled that the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra has finally recorded this piece and that we are able to offer the music to you exclusively through Bob’s site. This is a fantastic piece of music that is through-composed (there are no solos).
