Recorded on Evanescence, "My Lament" features tenor (reed 4, played by Rick Margitza on the recording). This piece has very little doubling and is not too difficult to play. I've heard several high schools play this. It's a nice feature for an expressive tenor player. The doubles are minimal, and you could get by leaving those parts out if need be.
Your featured tenor soloist will be able to listen to Rick Margitza talk about his approach to playing this piece via streamed audio, and I've made a video where I guide you through the rehearsal of "My Lament" as well.
