About This Offer

Recorded on Evanescence, "Gush" and features soprano. (Tim Ries was the lovely soloist on the album.)

This piece has a very mysterious quality and is a chance for a creative soprano soloist to really take off. When we recorded "Gush" we added pitched flexatone on the recording. Unfortunately, it is mixed too softly. Pitched flexatone is extremely difficult to play. It's an evocative part of the Khachaturian Piano Concerto, and that's where I fell in love with the sound. So, if by some bizarre chance you know someone that has that kind of control on flexatone, put them to work playing the lead horn lines of the solo section – and send me a recording when you're done!

I conducted an interview with Tim Ries on playing this piece that should be of great help to your soloist. That, along with a video of me talking about rehearsal of this piece, will hopefully set you on your way to a successful performance.
