"Arbiters of Evolution" is a rather epic piece recorded on The Thompson Fields. It features highly varied solo sections for the tenor (Donny McCaslin) and baritone (Scott Robinson) in which they conjure up images of the wild displays of the birds-of-paradise species of birds in New Guinea.  Aside from the score, I'm including video interviews, and an alternate mix of the entire piece without drums so that it's easier for you to get inside of the details of the horn writing. As you check out this piece, I strongly urge you to visit the birds-of-paradise project from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
