"I am very excited to introduce my new ArtistShare® Project: Planetary Coalition! This project will culminate with the recording of an album that is not only my first of mostly acoustic guitar, but also one that will capture exciting world music collaborations with planned guest artists such as Rodrigo y Gabriela, Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, and Adnan Joubran of Le Trio Joubran. You will get an exclusive view into our creative process as we embark on this multicultural musical adventure together. Join Planetary Coalition today!"

Welcome to The Thompson Fields Project, where Maria Schneider and her band will be recording various new works, four of which were commissioned directly by ArtistShare participants. The pieces range from being descriptive of the open landscape of Maria's home in southwest Minnesota, to being inspired by the first time she heard a samba school rehearse in Rio. There’s a piece inspired by the Birds of Paradise Project from Cornell University, and they're recording A Potter’s Song, written in memory of the beloved Laurie Frink, the dearest of friends who the band made music with for over twenty years. There’s a lot more, and Maria go into great detail as she documents this project over the course of months. Join her on this journey today!

BOP is a one-of-a-kind traditional bebop album that brings together world class musicians, including Rick Braun, Jeff Lorber, Chuck Loeb, Harvey Mason, Brian Bromberg, Til Bronner, Everette Harp, Eric Marienthal, Brian Dunne, Randy Brecker, and John Pattitucci. BOP was conceptualized and brought to life at the Berks Jazz Festival, held annually in Pennsylvania. The idea to create this album was thought up by Jeff Lorber and Chuck Loeb, who coordinates the Berks Jazz Fest bebop jam sessions. They organized and co-produced this album together, and later recorded it at Jeff's studio.
All contributions and proceeds will go towards a truly wonderful organization: the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation.

Participate today, help the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, and make a difference in the world!

Welcome to the Requinte Trio Project, where 9 time Grammy Award winning solo artist and vocalist for the Manhattan Transfer, Janis Siegel, world-renowned Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, Nanny Assis, and Multi-Grammy nominated pianist and composer, John Di Martino, will be sharing the fusion of American Jazz and Brazilian music, forming a "creative combustion" of music. They are fusing the talents and musical colors of American and Brazilian artists through their common love of lyrical melodies and delicious grooves; creating sensual music with a broad range of influences - a musical "cocktail" of sorts. They are excited to delve more deeply into the beautiful rhythms of Brazil and would love to share their process with you.

Through this project, they will be challenging and pushing each other out of their comfort zones. As the project develops, they will be documenting the creative process, sharing their rehearsals and insights, and you will be right alongside them through the entire project.
