Welcome to The Thompson Fields Project, where Maria Schneider and her band will be recording various new works, four of which were commissioned directly by ArtistShare participants. The pieces range from being descriptive of the open landscape of Maria's home in southwest Minnesota, to being inspired by the first time she heard a samba school rehearse in Rio. There’s a piece inspired by the Birds of Paradise Project from Cornell University, and they're recording A Potter’s Song, written in memory of the beloved Laurie Frink, the dearest of friends who the band made music with for over twenty years. There’s a lot more, and Maria go into great detail as she documents this project over the course of months. Join her on this journey today!
Check out the new project from Letizia Gambi, produced by the great Lenny White.
I'll open an exclusive window on my life and music just for you. I will share my moments of inspiration and my thoughts. You will witness how special the relationship between artist and producer can be, but also how difficult the creative process is and how vulnerable we can be. I must warn you....watch for flying objects!!! :-)

Welcome to the Requinte Trio Project, where 9 time Grammy Award winning solo artist and vocalist for the Manhattan Transfer, Janis Siegel, world-renowned Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, Nanny Assis, and Multi-Grammy nominated pianist and composer, John Di Martino, will be sharing
the fusion of American Jazz and Brazilian music, forming a "creative
combustion" of music. They are fusing the talents and musical colors of
American and Brazilian artists through their common love of lyrical
melodies and delicious grooves; creating sensual music with a broad
range of influences - a musical "cocktail" of sorts. They are excited to
delve more deeply into the beautiful rhythms of Brazil and would love to
share their process with you.
Through this project, they will be challenging and pushing each other out of their comfort zones. As the project develops, they will be documenting the creative process, sharing their rehearsals and insights, and you will be right alongside them through the entire project.
