Oct 12 2014 - David Bowie and Maria Schneider team up for new single
David Bowie and Maria Schneider have teamed up for a new Bowie single, called “Sue (or In A Season of
Crime)”. The track was recorded in August at Avatar Studios (a regular haunt for Maria Schneider recordings) in New York with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, with saxophonist
Donny McCaslin and trombonist Ryan Kebrle soloing. Maria
arranged the song and co-wrote it with David. The track will also be
released as part of a new album, Nothing Has Changed, on Nov. 14.
(The album is a collection of tracks dating as far back as 1964; “Sue”
is said to be the only new track on the set.)
