Congratulations to ArtistShare artist Maria Schneider for her recent sweep of the 2010 Downbeat Critics Poll! Maria took top honors in the categories of Composer, Arranger, and Big Band.
Maria Schneider's "Spring Commission 2010" project is her second fan-funded commission project, and is rounding the bend to the new commission's premier at Birdland on July 20th! To view the available participant offers follow this link http://www.artistshare.com/news/?pt=2572 In this project, fans gain access to exclusive video and audio of Maria's compositional process, sketches of the piece in progress, previews of rehearsals, and credit listing on the final score.
